NEXT PRESBYTERIAN MEN'S DINNER - November 13
The Presbyterian Men’s Group will meet Tuesday, November 13, at 6:00 PM in St. Andrew Hall. We will eat dinner at 6:30 and follow that by a short business session. Our business agenda will focus on the election of the Moderator for 2019 and a summary of activities in 2018. After business, Bo Hamrick will give a presentation on his experiences writing and publishing his recent book. Our dinner will be catered by Bennett’s Creek Farm Market. Please contact Russell Richards at firstname.lastname@example.org to let him know you plan to come so that we will have an adequate number of meals. Or, if you prefer, you can sign up at the kiosk in the atrium. Mark your calendar for November 13 and plan to join us.
PRESBYTERIAN MEN HELP WITH BINGO AT NURSING HOME
The Presbyterian Men are conducting monthly bingo games for the residents of Nansemond Pointe Transitional Care and Rehab on Constance Road in Suffolk the third Tuesday of every month at 3:00 p.m. We provide small prizes to the winners of each game. It is heartwarming to see how much the participants enjoy the event. Our next Bingo session is October 16. If you would like to volunteer to support a future event, please contact Russell Richards below.
PRESBYTERIAN MEN DESCRIPTION
The St. Andrew Presbyterian Men’s group meets once a month on the second Tuesday of the month. All men are invited to participate, and we invite the ladies to join us for some of our meetings. We usually convene at St. Andrew at 6:00 PM on meeting nights, enjoy informal fellowship, have dinner around 6:30, have a devotional and tend to a little business after dinner, and finish with a presentation by a variety of speakers. Our speaker’s topics range from church activities and charitable causes to local issues of interest to the community. Annually, we sponsor the Ash Wednesday Pancake Supper at St. Andrew as our main fundraiser. The funds that we raise go mostly to sponsor the St. Andrew Youth. Our group provides volunteers to support a wide variety of St. Andrew activities and mission work. For a change of pace, we also sometimes conduct our meetings at local restaurants. When held at St. Andrew, our meals are usually catered by local restaurants or markets. All men are invited to join us. If interested please contact our moderator, Russell Richards, using the contact form below to be placed on the distribution list.
